Egg in a Heart Recipe
Kick off your day with a Breakfast of Love!
This simple Egg in a Heart recipe is family-friendly, protein packed and the perfect way to surprise your loved one. It only requires three ingredients: bread, eggs, butter and a toaster — in partnership with Nebraska Furniture Mart, I used the KitchenAid 4 Slice Long Slot Toaster..
Heart shaped cookie cutters will give you the perfect cut-out for this recipe but this can easily be done free handed with a sharp knife. To get the best result, trace a heart with your knife before cutting directly into the bread.
The KitchenAid 4 Slice Long Slot Toaster is my dream appliance. Its extra long, extra wide slot design allows for easy toasting of irregular sizes and shapes; buy bread to your heart's content whether it be artisanal or perfectly square. Equipped with a removable crumb tray, clean up is as easy as pie.
