Avo-nanna Smoothie Recipe
Three words: creamy, smooth and silky — if this smoothie were a fabric, it would be satin
The combination of avocado and banana may sound a little odd at first but once this smoothie touches your lips, your mind will forever be changed. In partnership with Nebraska Furniture Mart, I used the Vitamix Ascent Series A2500. It's a simple yet powerful blender with three program settings: smoothies, hot soups and frozen desserts, as well as built in wireless connectivity allowing the A2500 to evolve over time.
If you are looking for a way to sneak in extra nutrients in your day, plug in your blender and give this recipe a try. Not only is it nutrient dense, but full of healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. The subtle yet pervasive flavor of avocado and natural sweetness of banana masks whatever handful of greens you add into the mix — I personally used kale. Don't worry about raw greens not being pulverized, the Vitamix A2500 has an incredibly strong motor that can breakdown the toughest of ingredients.
